A new business needs a website and a professional email address. Squarespace builds the site; Google Workspace gives you email like [email protected]. Here is what each costs and how they fit together.

How we wrote this: we read each vendor's public pricing and product pages (linked at the bottom) and compared them for a business with 1 to 10 people. We have not run a long-term hands-on test of these products, and we will say so on this page when we have.

Our take

For a 1 to 5 person business, Squarespace Core plus Google Workspace Business Starter covers a professional site and email. Add one Workspace user for each employee who needs an address.

FAQ

Do I need business email?

A matching domain email looks more trustworthy to customers and applicants than a free personal address.

Can Squarespace host my email?

Squarespace sells Google Workspace email alongside its site plans; you can also buy Workspace directly from Google.
